ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Cricket World Cup and will be hosted by three SOUTH ASIAN TEST CRICKET playing countries. INDIA, SRILANKA and BANGLADESH. It will be Bangladesh's first time co-hosting a Cricket World cup . The World Cup will use Cricket's One Day International(ODI) format, with fourteen national Cricket teams scheduled to complete. The World Cup will take place between FEB and early APRIL 2011, with the first match to be played on 19 FEB 2011 with co-hosts INDIA and BANGLADESH facing off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The opening ceremony will be held on 17th FEB 2011, two days before the start of the tournament. The final world cup would take place on 2nd APRIL 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Table Tennis, also know as ping-pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth using table tennis rackets. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Except for the initial serve, players must allow a ball played toward them only one bounce on their side of the table and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side. Points are scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules. Play is fast and quick reactions.

Competitive table tennis players grip their rackets in variety of ways. They can be classified into two major families of style.

Offensive strokes::

SPEED DRIVE:

A direct hit on the ball propelling it forward back to the opponent.

LOOP:

Loop shot is a kind for topspin, which is more likely to rebound of the opponent's racket at very high angle.

COUNTER-DRIVE:

It is usually a counterattack again drives, normally high loop drives.

FLIP:

It is simply a flick of the ball with either a drive or a loop in its characteristics.

SMASH:

It is the shot with rapid acceleration imparting as much speed on the ball as possible.

In this shot, the racket cuts underneath the ball and thus to keep the point alive.

LOB:

The defensive lob is possibly the most impressive shot in the sport of table tennis, since it propels the ball about fifteen feet in the air only to land on the opponent's side of the table with great amount of spin.
